As you know, the Community Foundation of Will County was established in 2006 by the Chicago Community Trust to serve the residents and non-profit organizations of Will County. Our Foundation was the third to be created; they had already established Community Foundations in McHenry and Lake County.
The Community Foundation of Will County (CFWC) recently announced the following 2023 Community Partner Grants. Grants are intended to help the recipient organizations expand existing programming and build capacity to meet the needs of communities in Will County.

Grants are intended to help the recipient organizations expand existing programming and build capacity to meet the needs of communities in Will County. “Each of these grants will help our community partners do more to meet needs they’ve identified in Will County,” says CFWC Board Chair Chris Spesia. “Our organization and donors continue to be a resource for nonprofits that see needs and opportunities and are well-positioned to offer solutions.”
The Joliet Central High School Band has a legacy of excellence that stretches back more than a century. In fact, the Joliet nickname ‘City of Champions’ doesn’t come from its many outstanding athletes and sports teams but from the long history of national recognition that rightfully places the Joliet Central Band in the pantheon of student musical organizations.
