FY25 Community Partners Grantees

Community Foundation of Will County Grant Recipient Farm 2 Veteran Honors Volunteers at Wreaths Across America Event

Farm 2 Veteran, a Will County based nonprofit and grant recipient of the Community Foundation of Will County, proudly sponsored the Wreaths Across America volunteer luncheon honoring those who served at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. The luncheon was held at Stone City VFW Post 2199 and recognized the dedication of volunteers who braved cold winter conditions to ensure fallen heroes are remembered and honored.

“We were honored to sponsor the luncheon for the incredible Wreaths Across America – Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery volunteers,” said Farm 2 Veteran leadership. “Their dedication, sacrifice, and willingness to show up—no matter the weather—are what make this mission possible.”

Farm 2 Veteran also extended heartfelt thanks to all volunteers and community partners who helped make the day meaningful and successful, including The Veterans Garage and Stone City VFW Post 2199, whose continued partnership and commitment to serving veterans strengthens the entire Will County community.

Based in Manhattan, Illinois, Farm 2 Veteran is dedicated to addressing food insecurity among veterans in Will County by providing free, farm-fresh meals. Since 2020, the organization has delivered more than 100,000 nutritious meals featuring locally sourced meat, eggs, and produce to veterans facing financial, health, or housing challenges. By going beyond traditional food pantry offerings, Farm 2 Veteran focuses on high-quality, fresh foods that support both physical health and emotional well-being.

With support from the Community Foundation of Will County, Farm 2 Veteran will be able to produce and deliver an additional 3,000 meals across the county, ensuring aging and at-risk veterans receive the nourishment, dignity, and care they deserve.

Through partnerships, community support, and a shared commitment to honoring those who served, Farm 2 Veteran continues to make a meaningful impact on veterans’ tables and in their lives.
