The Community Foundation of Will County Former Board Members and Donor Meeting – May 28th, 2025
On May 28th, 2025, the Community Foundation of Will County hosted a gathering of former board members, donors, current board members, and current staff at Jameson’s Pub in Joliet. It was an opportunity for guests to reconnect after many years. After a social hour where food and drinks were served, a brief meeting was held to discuss foundation initiatives, introduce the new Development Director, the possible formation of a new advisory board, and the Illinois Gives Tax Credit Act.
About The Illinois Gives Tax Credit Act
The Illinois Gives Tax Credit Act is an opportunity for people to receive a 25% tax credit when making donations to a Qualified Community Foundation such as the CFWC. (It is only available at this point for the 2025 tax year. Please reach out to us to learn more). The CFWC hopes to raise $3 million, which would maximize its allowable tax credit dispersion of $750,000. Those funds would have a massive impact on the Will County non-profit organizations that we support and that do such amazing work every single day.
We look forward to future get-togethers with the dedicated and generous supporters of the Community Foundation.
