Honoring Billy and Liese Hearth

We we’re pleased to honor Billy and Liese Hearth as the 2024 recipients of the Gratitude Award from the Community Foundation of Will County.

The Community Foundation of Will County Gratitude Award recognizes individuals in Will County who exemplify excellence in their town through their generosity, charitable efforts and support.

The mission of The Community Foundation of Will County is to promote philanthropy, connect donors to community needs, and build partnerships to improve the quality of life in our region. Our priority areas include health, education, human services, and the arts.

About The Honorees

Married since 2001, Liese and Billy Hearth exemplify the transformative power of leadership coupled with genuine compassion. Their collaborative efforts extend far beyond the realms of traditional philanthropy, as they actively engage with and empower their community to effect meaningful change. Through their leadership positions and unwavering dedication, they inspire others to join them in their mission to create a more inclusive, equitable, and vibrant society.

Liese, art teacher at Eisenhower Junior High in Darien, is a founding board member of the Bolingbrook Arts Museum. She has also volunteered and shared her expertise with, among others, Heart Haven Outreach, Bolingbrook Lions, Illinois Aviation Museum, Darien Women’s Club, and Illinois State Board of Education

As a financial advisor and proud Rotarian, Billy’s nature is to help – help people toward their financial goals and help Will County residents in a variety of arenas. He currently serves as the Chair for the United Way of Will County, is a board member of Bolingbrook Area Chamber of Commerce and Illinois Aviation. Additionally, Billy serves as a Trustee on the Bolingbrook Police Pension Board and volunteers with multiple organizations.

In the hearts of their community, Liese and Billy Hearth stand as beacons of hope, embodying the values of selflessness, integrity, and solidarity. Their legacy serves as a testament to the profound impact that visionary leadership and unwavering support can have on the collective well-being of a community.
