The Community Foundation of Will County has recently been accredited with Community Foundations National Standards®—the highest standards for philanthropic excellence. We work to support the causes our community cares about, to promote philanthropic purposes in areas of health, education, human services, and the arts. National Standards says that we meet the most rigorous standards in philanthropy and is a promise to our community that we’ll continue to do this good work together, right here in Will County.

Farm 2 Veteran, a Will County based nonprofit and grant recipient of the Community Foundation of Will County, proudly sponsored the Wreaths Across America volunteer luncheon honoring those who served at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. The luncheon was held at Stone City VFW Post 2199 and recognized the dedication of volunteers who braved cold winter conditions to ensure fallen heroes are remembered and honored.

Fifteen grants totaling more than $132,000 will help build capacity of programs that support children, families, veterans and those dealing with health-related challenges.

On May 28th, 2025, the Community Foundation of Will County hosted a gathering of former board members, donors, current board members, and current staff at Jameson’s Pub in Joliet.

The Community Foundation of Will County is proud to announce its official designation as a Qualified Community Foundation (QCF) under the Illinois Gives Tax Credit Act (35 ILCS 60/170).
